3rd European Month of Photography

The 2nd Month of Photography in November 2006 with 350 000 visitors has been a great success. In November 2008, Berlin will once again demonstrate its role as a vital hub of photography with a record participation

21 museums, 28 cultural institutes, embassies and representative offices and 69 galleries - altogether 118 institutions – will present more than 200 exhibitions and events all over the city. This year the common motto is “Never seen before!”.

The exhibition “Mutations II”, drawn up by the seven twin towns of the European Month of Photography is the common contribution of the network that unites the several photography festivals. “Mutations II” is an art work collection that can be characterized as an interface between photography and video art.

The 3rd European Month of Photography in Berlin will open on 1st November 2008 in the Berlinische Galerie

The accompanying catalogue (176 p., 6,00 €) and the free brochure with the agenda are available from the end of October in the participating institutions and in the Podewils’sches Palais, the domicile of Kulturprojekte Berlin.
