Schooling the eye

There are so many ways to learn in a museum – but boring lectures are definitely out. Our activities with school groups of all ages encourage the participants to form their own opinions about the art on show and to ask questions. Why should I look at that? What has art got to do with me? And what do the others say? Our experienced art educators engage children and teenagers in active dialogue and discuss even the most serious topics with them. But there must always be an element of fun, especially in our studio when we move onto artistic practice.

Little acorns

Anyone who has watched pre-school children excitedly working with paints, glue and scissors and coming up with the craziest ideas knows that being creative is one of the most glorious experiences there are. Our museum is the perfect place for this. Playfully discovering art, sharing our observations with other people and testing our own artistic skills – those principles guide our activities with pre-school children.
